Dark Justiciar

Dark Justiciars are elite warriors of Shar, gifted with supernatural abilities and carry out her will throughout Faerûn.
Overview[edit section | visual editor]
All Dark Justiciars encountered in Baldur's Gate 3 are dead or undead, with the exception of Lyrthindor in Grymforge and Shadowheart herself, if she is anointed as one after she makes a certain choice in her personal quest Daughter of Darkness.
Dark Justiciars were far more numerous in the past, terrorizing Reithwin under the leadership of Ketheric Thorm and building such architectural marvels as the Gauntlet of Shar and Grymforge. They were beaten back by a broad coalition of forces, including Harpers and Emerald Grove druids, suffering significant losses in the process.
The remaining Dark Justiciars were finally defeated after an infernal bargain struck between Morfred and Raphael resulted in Raphael ordering Yurgir to decimate Grymforge. Yurgir then proceeded to hunt down and kill virtually every remaining Justiciar in the Gauntlet of Shar.
Common abilities[edit section | visual editor]
- Upon defeat, all undead Dark Justiciars leave behind 1.5 m (5 ft) Darkness over their corpses.
- Undead Dark Justiciars are immune to Bleeding. However, unlike other Undead such as Ghasts, Ghouls and Zombies, it is possible to Poison and Charm them.
