You value the arts of stealth and subterfuge, bending the shadows to your will to strike without warning.Way of Shadow is one of the subclasses of . It can be chosen at level 3. These monks are more specialized in using the shadows to quietly strike their foes.
Subclass Features
Level 3
- Shadow Arts: Hide: Hide from enemies by succeeding Stealth Checks. Stick to the dark and avoid enemy sightlines. Attacking or casting a spell will reveal your location. Bonus Action
- Shadow Arts: Pass Without Trace: Call forth a veil of shadows and silence that gives you and all nearby companions a +10 bonus to Stealth Checks. Radius: 10m, Duration: Until Long Rest, Concentration, 2 Ki points
- Shadow Arts: Darkness: Create a dark shroud that heavily Obscures and Blinds creatures within. Creatures cannot make ranged attacks into or out of it. Duration: 10 turns, Range: 18m, Radius: 5m, Concentration, 2 Ki Points
- Shadow Arts: Darkvision: Grant a creature the ability to see into the dark out to a range of 12m. Duration: Until Long Rest, Range: Melee, 2 Ki Points
- Shadow Arts: Silence: Create a sound-proof sphere. All within are Silenced and Immune to Thunder damage. Duration: 100 turns, !Using this spell might turn targets hostile, Range: 18m, Concentration, 2 Ki Points
- Cantrip: Minor Illusion: Create an illusion that compels nearby creatures to investigate. You can remain hidden while casting this spell. This spell can be cast while you are Silenced. Duration: 10 turns, Range: 18m
Level 5
- Cloak of Shadows: Wrap yourself in shadows to become Invisible for 10 turns. Requires you to be Obscured and you will lose invisibility if you move into an area that is not Lightly or Heavily obscured. Restores on Long Rest.
Level 6
- Shadow Step: Teleport from shadow to shadow. Gain Advantage on your next melee Attack Roll. 18m range.
Level 11
- Shadow Strike: Weapon Action. While Obscured, teleport to an enemy and deal +3d8 Psychic damage. 9m range. Requires 3 Ki points.
- Shadow Strike: Unarmed: While Obscured, teleport to an enemy and perform an Unarmed Attack with an additional 3d8 Psychic damage. 9m range. Requires 3 Ki points.
