Larger Giant Spider

Larger Giant Spider is a spider NPC found in the Act One. It can be found in the pits of the Goblin Camp alongside its smaller comrade, Smaller Giant Spider.

Interactions

When approached, the spiders can be convinced not to attack the party, or to attack the goblins instead.

• Without  Speak with Animals, a DC 10 Animal Handling check is required to do either.
• With  Speak with Animals:
  • DC 10 Deception check to convince the spiders not to attack
  • DC 10 Persuasion check to convince the spiders to attack the goblins. Choosing this option, and only this option, will inspire characters with the Charlatan background.

Convincing the spiders to attack the goblins, with or without speaking their language, will affect companion approval: +1  +1
