Larger Giant Spider and their comrade, Smaller Giant Spider, are held in the spider pits in the Shattered Sanctum. The spiders want to eat the party, but can be convinced not to attack or to divert their attacks toward the goblins instead:

Without Speak with Animals

Convincing the spiders to attack the goblins gains companion approval  +1  +1  +1 and the ⁠A Better Offer inspiration to party members with the  Charlatan background.
