Vision of the Absolute is an uncommon special variant of the Spears family of weapons. It is a simple melee weapon that can be wielded in one hand, or with both hands for extra damage. Its design lends itself well to be thrown at enemies as a projectile. Its design doesn't lend itself to be dual-wielded, even by those with special training in dual-wielding.

The tip of this spear strikes unerringly toward its target's eyes.

• Absolute Night: Chance to Blind target. Deals an additional 2d6Piercing damage to certain creatures that sport multiple sets of eyes.

Where to find

Repaired by finding the Shaft of a Broken Spear and the Head of a Broken Spear and combining them by right-clicking on one of the items in your inventory and pressing 'combine', then dragging the other item into the open slot.

• The shaft can be found on the body of Edowin in the Forest (X:136, Y:446).
• The head can be looted from the Owlbear in the Owlbear Nest.

Notes and Trivia

• If the description of Absolute Night was not clear enough, this Spear deals extra damage to spiders and spider-like enemies.

<spoiler>This is consistent with the positioning of The Absolute in Baldur's Gate 3 as a deific figure in opposition to Lolth, the Drow Queen of Spiders.</spoiler>
