Moonlantern

The Moonlantern is a special utility item that sheds a magical Light in a large radius while equipped.

Each framed facet of the lantern glass is pierced by lances and long tendrils of eerily beautiful moonlight.

Protected by the light of a Moonlantern or Shadow Lantern. The Shadow Curse does not affect this entity.

The Moonlantern carried by  Kar'niss contains a foul-mouthed pixie  Dolly Dolly Dolly who wants out. If freed using  Inspect Moonlantern, she grants the party a  Pixie Blessing.
If Dolly is freed, her Moonlantern remains in the inventory of the character who freed her, but its inventory icon changes to a broken version and the lantern cannot be equipped anymore.
If Kar'niss arrives at Moonrise Towers with the lantern (whether he escorted the party or not), Dolly dies inside it.
If Kar'niss is killed at the ambush and the lantern is taken by the Harpers, the party can follow them back to Last Light Inn. There  Isobel gives the party the same Moonlantern with Dolly Dolly Dolly alive inside; she can be freed and the  Pixie Blessing may then still be obtained.
Switching to ranged weapons while having a Moonlantern equipped retains the Moonshield effect but removes the illumination, allowing darkness-requiring effects such as  Covert Critical and  Shadow Step to be safely used within the Shadow-Cursed Lands.

The Moonlantern containing Dolly Dolly Dolly still produces a stationary Moonshield Aura when dropped on the ground even after she has been freed from it.
