  • You receied 2d6NecroticNecrotic for casting a level x spell while you have Spell RotSpell Rot.

Notes

  • For Tactician and Honour difficulty, this damage is increased to 3d6NecroticNecrotic per spell level.
  • If JaheiraJaheira is wearing Khalid's Gift, it grants immunity to this condition.
  • ShieldShield does not trigger the damage.
  • Cantrips and spells which use class resources (such as Radiance of the DawnRadiance of the Dawn) do not trigger the damage, as they inherently do not have levels.
  • Spells cast for free thanks to features like Arcane BatteryArcane Battery are still treated as being cast at the chosen level.
  • Various abilities that are not typically thought of as spells still trigger this, including:
  • Fast traveling to another area before leaving the Lair, such as Rivington, does not remove Spell Rot.
  • Remove CurseRemove Curse removes Spell Rot. However, if it self cast, the caster takes (final) damage on casting.
  • Although AstarionAstarion is not generally considered Undead with respect to most effects, he is – possibly as a vampire avatar – immune to this condition.
  • Spell rot applied in the Ancient Lair is automatically removed when exiting back out through the passageway.
