Notes

  • For Tactician difficulty, this damage is increased to 3d6NecroticNecrotic per spell level.
  • This condition is prevented for Jaheira Jaheira if she is wearing Khalid's Gift.
  • Shield Shield does not trigger the damage.
  • Cantrips and spells which use class resources (such as Radiance of the Dawn Radiance of the Dawn) do not trigger the damage, as they inherently do not have levels.
  • Spells cast for free thanks to features like Arcane Battery Arcane Battery are still treated as being cast at the chosen level.
  • Fast traveling to another area before leaving the Lair, such as Rivington, does not remove Spell Rot.
  • Remove Curse Remove Curse removes Spell Rot. However, if self cast, the caster takes (final) damage on casting.
  • Although Astarion Astarion is not generally considered Undead with respect to most effects, he does appear to be immune to this condition, as a vampire avatar.
