Nesha Leesha is a Baldur's Gate citizen. She is waiting for a friend to join her at the Blushing Mermaid tavern.

Overview

Quests

Involvement

Nesha Leesha is standing on the open terrace of the Blushing Mermaid (X: -145 Y: -96), outside the tavern itself (she may sometimes walk a couple of meters to the west). She looks a bit nervous and running out of patience, and her banter lines give away that she seemingly visits the establishment for the first time.

This place certainly has an interesting… aroma to it.

Nesha Leesha is one of the marked targets of the serial killer Dolor, who tries to please Bhaal, the God of Death, in order to become his Unholy assassin. By the time the party reaches Act Three locations, though, she is still alive. Her name is included in the list on the Bloodstained Parchment along Cora Highberry, Chef Roveer and Figaro Pennygood (other living victims).

When the player approaches her, Nesha tells them that a friend of hers invited her for a drink to the tavern, but has not come yet. If the player tells her that her name is on the serial killer's death list, she will not believe it at first. To convince her, a DC 15 Persuasion check is required. After successful check Nesha becomes frightened and runs away. Convincing Nesha Leesha to run for her life results in gaining Approval from Jaheira.

Should the player decide to rival Dolor in appeasing Bhaal, they may tell Nesha about their own intent to kill her. This will turn all nearby tavern personnel and clients temporarily hostile, except several Tipplesome Patrons inside the tavern and its owner Captain Grisly. These NPCs will remain neutral unless attacked.

Dead Nesha Leesha can be looted for a quest item Nesha's Hand, that might be used later in Impress the Murder Tribunal quest.

Notes

  • If Nesha was not warned, but still survived, she will stay at the tavern terrace until the party's next Long Rest [Needs Verification]. If spoken to, she will issue a meaningless phrase, like most common Baldurian NPCs around the city.
  • Nesha Leesha can be pickpocketed for Potion of Speed and Potion of Invisibility. These may also be looted from her body, if she hasn't used them in the fight.

  • The party might attack or unintentionally deal harm (f.e., with AOE spells) to any of Tipplesome Patrons or Captain Grisly. Doing this makes Auntie Ethel throw off her disguise as Captain Grisly and immediately triggers Save Vanra quest, bypassing all interactions within Help the Hag Survivors quest.
