Hunter is one of the Subclasses of Ranger. These Rangers are more specialized in dealing high damage to enemies, using Spellcasting, and area of effect and utility attacks to hunt down their prey.
Hunters seek the most dangerous prey in Faerûn, from ancient dragons to massive hordes of undead, and excel at slaying them all.

Subclass Features
This subclass obtains all the features from its base class, Ranger, in addition to its unique features outlined below.
Level 3
Hunter's Prey | Description |
---|---|
Colossus Slayer | Once per turn, your weapon attack deals an extra 1d8 damage if the target is below its Hit Point maximum. |
Giant Killer | If a Large or bigger creature attacks you, you can use your Reaction to make a melee attack. |
Horde Breaker | Target two creatures standing close to each other, attacking them in quick succession. |

Defensive Tactics | Description |
---|---|
Escape the Horde | Opportunity Attacks against you have Disadvantage. |
Steel Will | Advantage on Saving throws against being Frightened. |
Multiattack Defence | When a enemy attacks you, they suffer -4 penalty to additional Attack rolls against you until start of their next turn. |

- Volley: Fire a cascade of arrows upon nearby enemies.
- Whirlwind Attack: Strike out at all nearby foes, making separate attacks rolls against each target.
