Escape the Deal[edit | edit source]
Should the party want to renege on their word, they must find a way to enter Raphael's abode, the House of Hope, and destroy the contract. The contract is located in the Archive room of the House but is protected by an energy field which requires a password to disable.
This password can be found in the Boudoir of the House and can be acquired in various ways:
- Passing a DC 18 Perception check to notice a button underneath Raphael's portrait to the left of the bed, and a DC 20 Sleight of Hand check to disarm the portrait and access the hidden safe behind it. The safe can be lockpicked or opened with the Key From Raphael's Safe, which drops from Haarlep. The safe contains the password and five Soul Coins.
- Having an intimate moment with Haarlep without losing their body and mind by succeeding a DC 18 Wisdom check or DC 18 Performance check. It will result in the demon handling the key for the safe.
WARNING: Attempting to fight Raphael before destroying the Soul-Sworn Contract will cause him to claim the player character's soul and lead to a game over screen.

Notes[edit | edit source]
- The contract cannot be picked up. While the player has the option of picking it up, it'll always trigger the dialogue option to destroy it instead.
