Performance

Performance is a Charisma-based Skill.

The higher a creature's Charisma Score, the more likely they will succeed on Performance Checks to entertain others or imitate characters.

Proficiency

Characters who are proficient in Performance can add their Proficiency Bonus when making  Ability Checks.

The following backgrounds grant proficiency in Performance:

•  Entertainer

The following classes can choose to select Performance as a proficient skill at Level 1:

•  Bard
•  Rogue

The following passive class features grant proficiency in Performance:

•  Drunken Performance
•  Training in War and Song

Characters who take the Actor feat gain  Expertise (and Proficiency) in Performance and Deception.

Uses

• Used frequently in dialogue.
• Used when  Performing to receive tips from audience members. The Difficulty Class scales with the size of the audience.
  • 1 audience member: DC 10,
  • 2-3 audience members: DC 12,
  • 4-5 audience members: DC 15,
  • 6-7 audience members: DC 18,
  • 8+ audience members: DC 20

Ways to boost or penalize

Raising or lowering Charisma will also boost/penalize the Wisdom modifier (and therefore Performance) by 1 every even number, up or down.
