Backbreaker is a weapon action available to characters proficient in and wielding a maul or warhammer in their main hand.

Description

Put extra force behind your strike to possibly knock your enemy  Prone.

The target can't be Huge in size.

• The affected creature cannot move or take  Actions,  Bonus Actions, or  Reactions, and has Disadvantage on Strength and Dexterity saving throws.
• Attacks against a Prone creature have Advantage if made within 3 m / 10 ft of the creature.
• A Prone creature must spend half its Movement Speed to stand up.
  • A character with the Athlete feat spends only 1.5 m / 5 ft of Movement Speed to stand up.

Granted by wielding the following weapon types with proficiency:

•  Mauls
•  Warhammers

Bugs

• This attack may only target characters that are Large size or smaller, and is missing the related tooltip warning found on similar attacks, such as  Trip Attack (Melee).
