Booyahg Piddle is a Goblin Booyahg who is reading up in one of the ruined towers in the Goblin Camp in Act One. He is quite intelligent one with an interest in books, currently reading the book Volo was working on about the Absolute and goblin-kind. He also gives insights on about goblin magic, booyahg.
Act One
When approached, Piddle will question about Volo's meaning behind his complicated choice of words. He will explain further on how the famed chronicler was captured as he arrived and asked questions, being quickly accused as a spy before being used as entertainment. He will also share how since the tribe converted to the Absolute the power of their leaders such as Priestess Gut and Dror Ragzlin has increased.
If asked about getting Volo's manuscript, he will refuse since he hasn't finished reading it. He can be convinced to hand it over through differing methods:
- Illithid Persuasion DC 2 Wisdom check. "You will give me the book."
- DC 15 Intimidation check. "It'll be a very short lifetime if you don't hand me that manuscript."
- DC 10 Persuasion check (or DC 5 as a Cleric). "You should spend your time in prayer - not reading this nonsense."
- Detect Thoughts DC 9 Intelligence check. Scan his Mind. "You're an authority on the Absolute - you should be the one writing about it."
Whatever method used, he will hand over On Goblins: My Life Among the Conquering Host and then depart.
NOTE: If still alive while the party is fighting the whole goblin camp, he will often make his escape, running away to disappear permanently.
