Shatter

Shatter is a level 2 evocation spell. It allows the spellcaster to generate a deafening noise explosion that can damage multiple creatures and objects. This spell is especially potent against inorganic targets, which must make their Saving Throw at Disadvantage.

Description

Damages all nearby creatures and objects.

Creatures made of inorganic material such as stone have  Disadvantage on their  Saving throw.

AoE: 3 m / 10 ft (Radius)

At higher levels

Upcasting: Casting this spell at a higher level deals an extra 1d8⁠⁠Thunder damage for each spell slot level above 2nd.

Classes:

• Class level 3: Bard, Sorcerer, Wizard, Warlock, and Tempest Domain (Domain Spell)
• Class level 7: Eldritch Knight
• Class level 8: Arcane Trickster

•  Markoheshkir (⁠Recharge: Short rest)
•  Sentient Amulet (Rare) (⁠Recharge: Short rest)
•  Sentient Amulet (Very Rare) (⁠Recharge: Long rest)

Other ways to learn:

• Wizards with  Level 2 Spell Slots can scribe a  Scroll of Shatter to their spellbooks.

Notes

• Shatter has the same incantation as  Thunderwave: Dētonō, which is Latin for "To expend one's thunder" or "To roar out".
