Tempest Domain

Tempest Domain is one of the cleric subclasses, with a focus on Thunder and Lightning damage, weather themed spells, and martial combat.

Player selectable Deities associated with this domain: ⁠Gruumsh and ⁠Talos.

Subclass features

This subclass obtains all the features from its base class, Cleric, in addition to its unique features outlined below.

Level 1

• Gain  Heavy armour Proficiency
• Gain Martial weapons Proficiency

 Wrath of the Storm

As a  Reaction, strike back at an attacking creature, dealing 2d8Lightning or 2d8Thunder damage. The target takes half damage on a successful Saving throw.

 Wrath of the Storm: Lightning ()

If a nearby enemy attacks you, you can retaliate with a strike of lightning that deals 2d8⁠⁠Lightning damage.

 Wrath of the Storm: Thunder ()

If a nearby enemy attacks you, you can retaliate with a burst of thunder that deals 2d8⁠⁠Thunder damage.

Level 2

 Destructive Wrath ()

When you roll Thunder or Lightning damage, you can use your Channel Divinity to deal maximum damage instead.

Level 6

 Thunderbolt Strike

When you deal Thunder or Lightning damage to a creature that is Large or smaller, you can also push it up to 3 m / 10 ft.

•  Freedom of Movement
•  Ice Storm

Level 8

 Divine Strike: Thunder ()

Once per turn deal 1d8Thunder in addition to your weapon's damage when you make a melee attack. ( Recharge: Per turn.)
