At higher levels

• When the spellcaster reaches Level 5, the damage increases by another 1d10 Fire damage, for a total of 2d10Fire.
• When the spellcaster reaches Level 10, the damage increases by another 1d10 Fire damage, for a total of 3d10Fire.

How to learn

Classes:

• Class Level 1: Wizard , and Sorcerer

• Class Level 3: Arcane Trickster Rogue , and Eldritch Knight Fighter

• Class Level 6: College of Lore Bard (via Magical Secrets)

• Class Level 10: Bard (via Magical Secrets)

Races:

• Character level 1: High Elf, and High Half-Elf

(Character level is the sum of all class levels for a multi-classed character.)

Feats:

•  Spell Sniper
•  Magic Initiate: Wizard
•  Magic Initiate: Sorcerer

Granted by the following items:

• Gold Wyrmling Staff
• Incandescent Staff

Notes

• High Elf and High Half-Elf versions are from the Wizard spell list and scale hit rate off of Intelligence. You need to explicitly choose the class version to scale off of a separate stat.
  • For example: for Sorcerer when selecting the spell in the keyboard interface this will be designated with CHA for the Sorcerer version that scales off of Charisma and INT for the race (Wizard) version that scales off of Intelligence.
• The incantation for Fire Bolt is Ignis, Latin for "fire".
