Half-elves inherit blessings from both their parents, but at the price of never quite fitting in. Curious, ambitious, and versatile, half-elves are welcome everywhere, but struggle without a community to call their own.
About Half-Elves
Racial Features
All Half-Elves receive the following racial features:
- Ability Improvement: Select two Ability Scores. You gain a +1 racial bonus to each selected score.
- Fey Ancestry
- Charisma +2
- Darkvision
High Half-Elves
A touch of the Feywild remains in half-elves with this bloodline, and even those untrained in magic possess a hint of wild power.
A step further from the Feywild than their high elf parent, these half-elves still hold a magical spark. They mature faster than their brethren, but only live a few decades longer than humans.
Subrace Traits
- Base Racial Speed: 9m / 30ft
- Cantrip: (Choose 1) High Elf Cantrip
Wood Half-Elves
Like their wood elf parent, these half-elves have a quickened stride and eye for stealth. Yet many break away from isolation in Faerûn's forests to explore the rest of the Realms.
Subrace Traits
- Fleet of Foot: Your Movement Speed is 11m / 35ft
- Mask of the Wild: You were raised to blend into your natural surroundings. You gain
Proficiency in Stealth.
Drow Half-Elves
Most half-drow result from liaisons between Seldarine drow and surfacers. While half-drow inherit a few magical gifts, they aren't usually raised in the Underdark.
To be half-drow is to wrestle with a violent and complicated legacy. Cleverness and tenacity serve them well, for they are caught between two very different worlds.
