Where to find

Notes

  • This weapon does not have a proficiency classification, and does not require proficiency in Scimitars to use.

Regarding Shadow-Blinding:

  • Despite the tooltip not stating so, Shadow-Blinding applies only to attacks made with with the weapon that has this feature.

Regarding Shadow Blade (passive feature):

  • While active, Shadow Blade provides AdvantageAdvantage to both mainhand and off-hand equipped melee weapons.
  • Prior to Patch 8 Hotfix 1, Shadow Blade granted advantage to all attack rolls when active. This was changed to only melee weapon attacks.

Regarding Shadowsoaked Blow:

  • "Not breaking concealment" means that the attacker can remain HiddenHidden after performing the attack, though it still ends InvisibilityInvisibility.
    • A solo character can use this attack while hidden without entering combat. This lets them get two attacks off before their opponent is aware of them, making it an excellent candidate for use in assassinating isolated NPCs.

Bugs

  • Due to the missing proficiency classification, this weapon cannot be used to activate Bladesong when equipped in the mainhand weapon slot, although equipping it does not apply Bladesong Impeded (Condition).
    • This issue does not occur when equipped in the offhand weapon slot.
  • This weapon has a hidden version of the Shadow BladeShadow Blade applied to it, which grants advantage on all melee weapon attack rolls while active, including weapon attack rolls for another equipped melee weapon while dual-wielding.
