** One way to open these doors is finding the [[Rusted Key]] on a shelf in the next room, where the player can pull a lever to get a shortcut to the entrance room.
** Note that taking the book will trigger a trap. To avoid this, the player can place an item of similar weight (like a book) on the pedestal.

Necromancy of Thay is a Story-related Book. Obtaining it will complete the Search the Cellar Quests. Succeeding three progressively harder Wisdom Ability Checks will give the character the Forbidden Knowledge tag and the Speak with Dead Spell.

Where to find

  • At the cellar of the Blighted Village in an altar, behind locked doors.
    • One way to open these doors is finding the Rusted Key on a shelf in the next room, where the player can pull a lever to get a shortcut to the entrance room.
