- Casting this spell at a Fire surface extinguishes it. It also extinguishes other fire objects such as torches, braziers, campfires, etc.
- Directly hitting a liquid (water or blood) surface or someone standing on such a surface causes the liquid surface to freeze, immediately forcing all standing on it to roll a Dexterity Saving Throw or become Prone.
- Casting this spell on a Wet target causes double damage due to Vulnerability.
- The incantation for Ray of Frost is Glacies, Latin for "ice."
