Explosives are rapidly combustible consumables that cause one or more of the following effects:
- Area of Effect (AOE) damage
- AoE damage
- Forcible displacement (knockback) of creatures.

Fire surface. If thrown it creates a surface which ignites instantly, but there are no explosion effects.
- ↑ 3.0 3.1 There is a bug common to Brilliant Retort and Smokepowder Bomb (of which the former is a variant) that applies multiple instances of damage to each creature in the blast range. Each instance of damage triggers its own saving throw.
