Find Familiar

Find Familiar is a level 1 conjuration spell. This spell allows spellcasters to conjure a fey familiar that can aid them in combat or world exploration.

Casting this spell at a higher level grants no additional benefit.

How to learn

Classes:

• Class Level 1: Wizard , and Ranger via Natural Explorer ( Beast Tamer)

• Class Level 3: Eldritch Knight Fighter , Arcane Trickster Rogue , and Warlock via Pact Boon (Pact of the Chain)

Notes

• Granted by the Ritual Caster Feat.
• Granted by Raven Gloves (Raven only).
• The raven is the only standard familiar given a specific name: "Quothe". This is a reference to Edgar Allen Poe's poem "The Raven", and probably also the raven Quoth who appears in Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels (himself a reference to "The Raven").
