Gloom Stalker is a Subclass of Ranger. Gloom Stalkers specialise in taking out foes swiftly and ruthlessly from the shadows, gaining damage bonuses and increased movement speed.

Subclass Features

This subclass obtains all the features from its base class, Ranger, in addition to its unique features outlined below.

Level 3

You gain the following spell. It is Always Prepared:

•  Disguise Self 

Umbral Sight

 Umbral Shroud

Use an Action to wrap yourself in shadows to become  [[Invisible (Condition)|]] for 10 turns if you are Obscured.

 Superior Darkvision

You can see in the dark up to 24 m / 80 ft.

 Dread Ambusher

You specialise in taking out foes swiftly and ruthlessly. You gain a +3 bonus to Initiative. On the first turn of combat, your Movement Speed increases by 3 m / 10 ft, and you can make an extra attack that deals an additional 1d8 damage.

 Dread Ambusher (Melee)

Make a melee attack that deals an extra 1d8Physical damage.

 Dread Ambusher (Ranged)

Make a ranged attack that deals an extra 1d8Physical damage.

 Dread Ambusher: Hide

As a Bonus Action, you can  Hide from enemies by succeeding on Stealth Checks. Attacking or casting a spell will make you visible.

Level 5

You gain the following spell. It is Always Prepared:

•  Misty Step

Level 7

 Iron Mind

You gain Proficiency in Wisdom and Intelligence Saving throws.

Level 9

You gain the following spell. It is Always Prepared:

•  Fear 

Level 11

 Stalker's Flurry

Once on each of your turns, when you miss with a weapon attack, you can make another one for free.
