Hypnotic Pattern is a level 3 illusion spell. It allows spellcasters to hypnotise all creatures within an area.

Description

 Hypnotise creatures that can see the pattern. They cannot attack you. They cannot move nor act.

This spell can be cast while you are  Silenced.

How to learn

Classes:

• Class level 5: Bard, Sorcerer, Warlock, Wizard, and Circle of the Land (Desert)

Other ways to learn:

• Wizards with  Level 3 Spell Slots can scribe a  Scroll of Hypnotic Pattern to their spellbooks.

Notes

• Undead creatures (except  Zombies), as well as  Constructs and  Doppelgangers, are immune to Hypnotic Pattern.^[verify]
• If a companion is hit by the player character's use of the spell, they incur a -10 approval upon being released.
• The caster and its allies will be hit by this spell if in range. To avoid this, the caster may use  Metamagic: Careful Spell.
