Involvement[edit | edit source]
Maghtew can be found being rallied by his wife Kressa Bonedaughter along with his fellow cultists Hairy Henry and Ironfinger. If the party waits too long before approaching, Kressa's speech will give him and the cultists 10 temporary hitpoints through a buff called .
He will attack along with the other followers in the Barracks if the party initiates combat through dialogue with Kressa or if attacked. If left alone, he will move to his room in the north-east part of the Barracks, greeting the player with "May death claim you soon" and "Your bones be blessed" if spoken to.
His journal found in his room reveals that he is the husband of Kressa Bonedaughter and that they were formerly country surgeons from Nashkel Nashkel. After joining the Myrkul cult, Kressa's obsession with her tadpole research as well as a "pet" she used for her experiments has estranged him from his wife. He attempted to bring her back to her senses by telling Balthazar of her pet, which caused Balthazar to ship it to the Nautiloid, but this only entrenched her desire for a thrall.
