Lassandra

Lassandra is a human fighter leading a squad of Harpers on a patrol expedition to the hills east of Last Light Inn, in Act Two.

Expedition

The player first encounters her when in the Shadow-Cursed Lands, when entering via the Grymforge lift. She is leading an expedition of Harpers, consisting of Yonas, Meygan, and Karrow. Yonas is ambushed and corrupted by a Shadow ambush. If the player intervenes and saves her, she will thank the player and mark the location of the Last Light Inn on the map.

Last Light Inn

If the player then heads to Last Light Inn and is met with distrust from Elifer, Lassandra will attempt to vouch for them, though it will have little effect on the following conversation afterward.

She will then remain idle near the entrance to Last Light Inn, watching over the bridge from the barricades.

After the player talks with Jaheira inside the inn, Lassandra will join up with Branthos, Elindale, Manus, and Skywin on the bridge in front of Last Light Inn, so they can move in to intercept and ambush a nearby Absolutist convoy in order to acquire their source of protection against the Shadow Curse. Accepting the mission would have her and the squad of Harpers move in to the Ruined Battlefield, where they'll lay in wait for the Absolutist convoy. The player can either go with the group immediately or catch up with them later, as the ambush site is marked on their map.

Ambush

Main article: Follow the Convoy

Lassandra, along with Harpers Skywin, Elindale, Branthos, and Manus will be waiting in a run-down shack at the Ruined Battlefield. Talking to anyone at the ambush site will commence the ambush with Lassandra telling the player to hide, and to be ready to send the signal, before spawning the encounter. Once the convoy arrives, the player has a choice to attack immediately or hang back. If the player chooses to stay hidden and keep watching, Kar'niss kills Brawler Vez, one of the goblins in the convoy. From there, the party can either signal the Harpers or the Harpers will start the encounter themselves. After the fight, on the drider's corpse will be a Moonlantern.

Alternatively, the player can convince Kar'niss to relinquish the Moonlantern, and to lead the Absolutist convoy to its death, where they will eventually be cursed. Either way, Lassandra will depart along the rest of her squad, and return to Last Light Inn.

If the player chooses to reach the Shadow-Cursed Lands through the Mountain Pass route and starts Follow the Convoy instead. During the moment when players can choose to either turn on the convoy and help the Harpers, or protect the convoy to continue their cover as a True Soul, Lassandra is completely missing from the ambush, as she has yet to be rescued from her expedition.

No matter the resolution of the ambush, if the player heads on over to Last Light Inn, they will see Lassandra returning to the sanctuary with Karrow, and Meygan.

After Ambush

Once the ambush is over, Lassandra and her first group later can be found mourning Yonas on a rocky ledge near the Last Light Inn docks.

Assault Moonrise Towers

Lassandra is killed during the fight against Absolute forces before the party can arrive. Her corpse can be found in the Moonrise Towers Prison, surrounded by a Death Shepherd and a horde of Necromites.

Notes

  • If Branthos killed at any point in time during the convoy's ambush, Lassandra — if present — can take the lead in talking to the player instead and conclude the quest.
  • Lassandra, much like Karrow, Meygan, and Yonas, are the only level 5 Harpers in Act Two.
  • As of Patch 6, despite having Extra Attack, Lassandra is not able to attack twice during her turns.
