Helm of Balduran

Helm of Balduran is a legendary Headwear once worn by the fabled founder of Baldur's Gate, Balduran, and grants hit points every turn along with stun and critical hit immunities.

This helm, worn atop the pate of Balduran the Brave, still gleams as if with the untarnished splendour of his legacy. Baldur's Gate itself bears his name, and tales of his exploits have turned the heads and hearts of many.

Notes

• The healing effect activates only while in combat.
• The healing effect still triggers even if the wearer has full hit points.
• When picked up, the following inspiration points are granted:
  • ⁠Heavy is the Head ( Sage backgrounds)
  • ⁠Great Helm of Legends ( Soldier backgrounds)
• Helm of Balduran pairs well with items and passives that trigger on-heal effects. Particularly:
  •  Blessed Healer for an additional 3⁠⁠hit points
  •  Boots of Aid and Comfort for an additional  3 temporary hit points
  •  Broodmother's Revenge for an additional 1d6⁠⁠Poison damage on weapon attacks
  •  Herbalist's Gloves to remove  Poison
  •  Slippery Chain Shirt to automatically Disengage
  •  The Reviving Hands for Resistance to ⁠Bludgeoning, ⁠Piercing, and ⁠Slashing damage
  •  The Whispering Promise for self  Bless
• The passive effects of the following items are not triggered by the healing provided by Helm of Balduran:
  •  Cloak of Cunning Brume if the wearer Disengaged as a result of the helm activating  Slippery Chain Shirt
  •  Ring of Salving

Bugs

• Stun Immunity does not protect against  Stunning Gaze (as cast by the Bhaal cultists) but does protect against  Mind Blast,  Stunning Strike (Melee) and  Stunning Strike (Unarmed).
