Protection from Evil and Good is a level 1 abjuration spell. This spell allows spellcasters to surround themselves with magical protection against Aberrations, Celestials, Elementals, Fey, Fiends, and Undead.

Description

Protect an ally against the attacks and powers of Aberrations, Celestials, Elementals, Fey, Fiends, and Undead.

The targets can't be  Charmed,  Frightened, or possessed by them^{[See Notes]}, and when these creatures attack it, they have Disadvantage.

Casting this spell at a higher level grants no additional benefit.

The target is protected against Aberrations, Celestials, Elementals, Fey, Fiends, and Undead. These creatures have Disadvantage on Attack rolls against the target, and the target can't be Charmed, Frightened, or possessed by them^{[See Notes]}.

Classes:

• Class Level 1: Cleric , Warlock , and Wizard

• Class Level 2: Paladin

• Class Level 3: Oath of Devotion Paladin (Oath Spell), Arcane Trickster Rogue , and Eldritch Knight Fighter

Feats:

•  Magic Initiate: Cleric
•  Magic Initiate: Warlock
•  Magic Initiate: Wizard

Granted by the following items:

• The Ever-Seeing Eye ( Recharge: Short rest)

Other ways to learn:

• Granted to Rangers who pick  Keeper of the Veil as their Favoured Enemy at level 1. Recharge: Long rest

Notes

• You do not get any immunity to charmed.
• The immunity to frightened and possession is against any source, not just the listed creature types.
• This spell prevents negative effects of the Part of the Flock debuff incurred by the Whispering Mask.
