Vision of the Absolute image

Vision of the Absolute is an uncommon variant of the Spears family of weapons. It is a simple melee weapon that can be wielded in one hand, or with both hands for extra damage. Its design lends itself well to be thrown at enemies as a projectile. Its design doesn't lend itself to be dual-wielded, even by those with special training in dual-wielding.

Notes

  • As implied in the description of Absolute Night, this Spear deals extra damage to spiders, spider-like enemies, spectators and other creatures with many eyes. This only functions on melee attacks - Thrown weapon hits will not trigger this bonus.

Concentration Icons.png Spoiler warning! This section reveals details about the story of Baldur's Gate 3.

  • Despite being themed around the Absolute, the spear doesn't seem to have any interactions with the Brand of the Absolute.
  • The spear's specialty of dealing additional damage to spiders seems consistent with the positioning of the Absolute as a deific figure in opposition to Lolth, the Drow Queen of Spiders.
