Blindness is a level 2 necromancy spell. It allows spellcasters to magically BlindBlind a targeted hostile creature.

Description

Limit a foe's sight range. It is easier to hit, and the creature will miss more often.

Attack RollAttack Rolls against it have AdvantageAdvantage and the foe attacks with DisadvantageDisadvantage.

  • The affected creature has DisadvantageDisadvantage on Attack RollAttack Rolls.
  • Ranged attacks and spells of the affected creature have a range of 3 m (10 ft).
  • Attack Rolls against affected creatures have AdvantageAdvantage.
  • At the end of each turn, the affected creature makes a Constitution Saving ThrowConstitution Saving Throw. If successful, the condition is removed.

  • The incantation for Blindness is Caeco Te, Latin for "I blind you".

Bugs

  • Upcast versions of this spell gain the ability to target multiple creatures, but as the spell lacks the SpellFlag IgnorePreviouslyPickedEntities the same creature can be selected multiple times, requiring a saving throw for each time they are selected.
