Upon reaching the Open Hand Temple, it is revealed that Shirra Clarwen died the previous year, and her spirit passed on. The monk's manifestation inside the sentient amulet laments the passing of her spirit, who would have born the curse, and asks the interacting party member if they will bear it instead. If they refuse, the spirit inside the amulet (now inside the body of Shirra Clarwen) raises three nearby corpses, including Raloric Windbane, to attack the party.
