Tilly is a civilian who can be found behind a locked door in the courtyard of The High Hall during the final sequence of Act Three.

Involvement[edit | edit source]

Upon approaching the locked door in the northern end of the courtyard, a cutscene plays out which reveals Tilly, Robyn Robyn, and a female elf named Civilian (High Hall) Civilian holed up in fear. Robyn admonishes the party to leave, believing that they are safe as long as they remain holed up. The party can persuade, intimidate, or deceive them to open up the door; each option can only be attempted once:

  • [PERSUASION] You need to leave! This whole place is falling down. (DC 15)
  • [DECEPTION] Let me in! The mind flayers are after me! (DC 20)
  • [INTIMIDATION] Open this door. Right now. (DC 20)

After attempting to pick the lock on the door, the options change:

  • [PERSUASION] You're going to die in there if you don't leave soon! (DC 15)
  • [INTIMIDATION] Open the door. Now. (DC 20)
  • [BARBARIAN] [INTIMIDATION] ROAR! (DC 20 Advantage Icon.png)

Convincing Tilly to open the door causes her to breathe a sigh of relief when she sees the party. Robyn tells her to get going and the party can then ask if they would like to die (thus beginning combat) or to get out of there, after which Tilly grants each party member the Death Ward Death Ward condition.

However, if the talking party has undergone ceremorphosis ceremorphosis and has become a Mind Flayer mind flayer, Tilly, Robyn and Civilian flee in terror and do not grant the Death Ward condition.
