Tasha's Hideous Laughter is a level 1 enchantment spell. It allows spellcasters to send a targeted creature into a fit of laughter, falling .
Description
Leave a creature with laughter, without the ability to get up.
The creature must have an Intelligence of 5 or more.
The target can try to shake off the effect each time it takes damage.

At higher levels
Casting this spell at a higher level grants no additional benefit.
Condition: Hideous Laughter
Duration: 10 turns
Spell save DC Wisdom saving throw
- Can't move or take Actions, Bonus actions, or Reactions, and has Disadvantage on Strength and Dexterity saving throws.
- Attacks against a Prone creature have Advantage if they're made within 3 m / 10 ft of the creature.
- At the end of its turn or when it takes damage, the entity can try to shake off the effect.
How to learn
Classes:
- Class Level 1: Bard , Wizard , Great Old One Warlock , and Draconic Bloodline Sorcerer (Copper/Acid Ancestry)
- Class Level 3: Arcane Trickster Rogue , and Eldritch Knight Fighter
Other ways to learn:
- Learned as a quest reward for completing Help the Cursed Monk and choosing to bear Shar's curse.
Notes
- Despite the claim made in the spell's description, a creature affected by for the purposes of interactions with other mechanics. For example, Hook Horrors may a Prone target, but not a target affected by Hideous Laughter. is not technically considered
