During Baldur's Gate 3, many story related events happen at the Campsite. These are almost always triggered upon doing a Long Rest, but some of them automatically happen upon reaching certain triggers. Sometimes, several events can be queued if all of their requirements are met. Below is a list of these events and their requirements, if there are any.

Act I

Astarion sneaks away from camp

Requirements: None

This event happens during one of your earlier Long Rests. You see Astarion sneaking away from camp while the party is asleep.

Astarion tries to bite the player

Requirements: None

The player character suddenly wakes up and catches Astarion trying to bite them. Here, it is revealed Astarion is a vampire spawn. The player can then decide wether to let Astarion bite them, kill him or banish him from the camp. There is bonus dialogue if the player has spotted a boar Astarion previously drained in the Wilderness.

Astarion and the player have sex

Requirements: Accept Astarion's proposal to have sex with him when he offers it.

As it says, Astarion and the player share a night of passion. This event potentially starts a romance with Astarion.

Dream Guardian visits you in your dreams.

Requirements: Either go to the Goblin Camp or try to go to the Mountain Pass and trigger the Artifact cutscene.

First, you appear to be very sick. Lae'zel threatens to kill you, as she thinks you and everyone else are transforming into Mindflayers. After talking her down, you go to sleep. During your dreams, you are visited by the Dream Guardian, who vows to protect you and suggests you consume additional Mindflayer tadpoles to unlock new powers. After this event, the player is able to unlock Ilithid Powers.

Elminster visits the camp to give a message to Gale

Requirements: Gale must be in the party or camp. Find Elminster near the entrance to the Shadow Cursed Lands in either the Mountain Pass of Grymforge and invite him to your camp.

Elminster gives Gale a message from Mystra about the Orb and stabilizes it. This event is notable for triggering during daytime.

Goblin party

Requirements: Complete Raid the Emerald Grove, while siding with Minthara and the Goblins. Then talk to Minthara to initiate the party.

The Goblins appear at camp and throw a party. This event also allows the player to initiate romantic encounters with the companions at a much lover approval rate compared to otherwise. This event is also the only time a sexual encounter with Minthara can be triggered.

Karlach and the player try to romantically connect.

Requirements: Tell Karlach you really like her at Medium Approval.

Karlach visits the player at night and has a romantic talk with them. This event potentially starts a romance with Karlach.

Mizora appears at the campsite to deal with Wyll. If Karlach is invited to the party, Wyll is turned into a devil as punishment for failure to uphold his contract. If Karlach was killed, Wyll is rewarded with the Infernal Robe instead. After this, more dialogue options for Wyll are unlocked.

Owlbear Cub first appearance

Requirements: First deal with the Owlbear mother however you like. Then, find the Owlbear Cub at the Goblin Camp, free it from the Goblins and invite it to your campsite.
