Bane (God)

Bane, also known as the Lord of Darkness, is the God of Tyranny, Hate, Strife and a member of the Dead Three. He is associated with the domains of Order and War. Bane cannot be the deity of a player character Cleric.

Revelations edit

Act Two edit

Enver GortashEnver Gortash is revealed to be Bane's Chosen. In the Mind Flayer Colony underneath Moonrise Towers, Gortash is accompanied by Orin the RedOrin the Red and Ketheric ThormKetheric Thorm. It is discovered that the Dead Three – Bane, BhaalBhaal, and MyrkulMyrkul – have once again formed an alliance to have their chosen create the Cult of the Absolute. Using his Netherstone, the Edict of Bane, Gortash issues the order to the Netherbrain to march the Absolute's armies on Baldur's Gate.

Act Three edit

If Enver Gortash is fought, he can call to Bane for aid. If called, Bane transforms Gortash into the Avatar of TyrannyAvatar of Tyranny. If Speak with DeadSpeak with Dead is used on Enver Gortash, Bane responds in his stead – stating that Gortash's soul is now suffering at his hands for failing him.

  • Bane was available as a deity for Clerics in Early Access, but the option was cut in the full release of the game.
    • Many of the dialogue options for a Cleric of Bane remain in the game files and can be accessed with mods.
