Black Gauntlet of Bane

Black Gauntlets are cultists of Bane and the senior-most officers under Lord Enver Gortash.

Involvement

Act Three

Black Gauntlets are found commanding the Banite cultists in key locations in Baldur's Gate such as Wyrm's Rock Fortress and the Steel Watch Foundry.

One unnamed female Black Gauntlet of Bane can be found in Upper City Sewers.

Combat

Black Gauntlets are potent spellcasters and have spell slots equivalent to a level 12 caster. Their exact spell list varies between different Black Gauntlets but they generally have ⁠Necrotic damage spells and mind-controlling spells drawn from the Cleric or Wizard spell list.

 Aura of Terror ()

Give enemies disadvantage on Attacks and saving throws while in your oppressive presence.

Creatures that can't be Frightened are immune to this aura.

Deals 8d8⁠⁠Necrotic damage to a target. Plants take maximum damage from this spell, and have  Disadvantage on the  Saving Throw against it.

 Dominate Person ( + )

 Dominate a nearby humanoid. Allies are unaffected.

Every time the creature takes damage, it may repeat the  Saving Throw against your domination.

Damage: 3~30

3d10⁠Necrotic

Putrefy a creature with Necrotic energy filling your hands.

 Melee: 1.5 m (5 ft)

 Phantasmal Killer ( + )

Damage: 4~40

4d10⁠Psychic

Haunt a creature with illusions of its greatest fears. It takes 4d10⁠⁠Psychic Damage per turn, cannot move, has  Disadvantage on Ability Checks and Attack Rolls

 Planar Ally: Deva ( + )

Conjure a Celestial Deva to fight alongside you. It can cast  Wrathful Smite,  Revivify, and  Concussive Smash.

 Spirit Guardians: Necrotic ( + )

Damage: 3~24

3d8⁠Necrotic

Call forth spirits to protect the area around you.

Nearby enemies take 3d8Necrotic damage per turn, and their Movement Speed is halved. Lasts for 10 turns.
