Notes
- Uncanny Dodge consumes a
Reaction when it is triggered, but it is not a proper reaction whose triggering behaviour can be configured in the Reactions tab.
- Though the description says "When an attack hits you", Uncanny Dodge can actually trigger on any received damage. This includes damage from saving throw spells like fall damage, or even self-damage from . ,
- Uncanny Dodge is one of a very small handful of multiplicative damage reductions which stack with resistance. Most other features that reduce damage by half such as , , or do so by granting resistance. Since resistances cannot stack, the damage reductions from such effects also cannot stack with each other. However, since Uncanny Dodge is implemented differently, it can stack with these sources of resistances for a total of 75% damage reduction.
Bugs
- As of Patch 8, Uncanny Dodge has several bugs related to reaction mechanics.
- It requires the defender to have reaction (resource) available, but doesn't actually consume it when used.
- It consumes the attacker's reaction (resource) when triggered.
- It can trigger multiple times in the same turn if hit by different attackers.
- It can trigger while under conditions that should prevent reaction, such as .
