Dampen Elements

Dampen Elements is a Nature Domain cleric passive feature and reaction. This ability allows the cleric to use a reaction and grant the player or one of their companions receiving elemental damage Resistance to that type.

Description

When you or an ally gets hit with Acid, Cold, Fire, Lightning, or Thunder damage, you can use your reaction to halve the attack's damage.

How to learn

Classes:

• Class level 6: Nature Domain

Notes

• This ability halves an attack's damage by granting resistance to elemental damage types. Since sources of resistance do not stack, this will do nothing to help a target that already has resistance to the received damage type.
• Prior to Patch #7, this ability cost a  Channel Divinity Charge.
