Haste: Difference between revisions

Haste is a level 3 transmutation spell. This spell allows spellcasters to allow their allies to become Hastened.

Description

Target yourself or an ally to become Hastened. The creature has a +2 bonus to Armour Class, Advantage on Dexterity Saving throws, its Movement Speed is doubled, and can take one additional Action per turn.

When the condition ends, the creature becomes Lethargic.

Casting this spell at a higher level grants no additional benefit.

Hastened

Duration: 10 turns

Target gains +2 to Armour Class and Advantage on Dexterity Saving throws.
Target's Movement Speed is increased by 9 m / 30 ft.
Target gains an additional Action.
When the condition ends, target becomes Lethargic and is unable to move or take Actions for 1 turn.

Lethargic

Duration: 1 turn

Consumed by exhaustion in the aftermath of Haste.

Classes:

Class Level 5: Sorcerer , Wizard , and Circle of the Land Druid (Artic or Grassland)

Granted by the following items:

WARNING: Do not have a character cast a second Concentration spell while they are concentrating on Haste. The Haste effect will end early, the character will still be affected by Lethargic, and the second Concentration spell will misfire; the effect will not happen but you will still spend the spell slot.
Warlocks with the Pact of the Tome Pact Boon can cast this spell once per Long Rest once they receive Deepened Pact at level 5.
A longer version of Haste called Celestial Haste is granted by Gontr Mael. Recharge: Long rest
While the description of Haste states that it doubles the target's movement speed, it actually only adds 9 m / 30 ft to their total.
The incantation for Haste is Provolo, Latin for fly forth, rush out.
