How to learn

Classes:

Notes

  • It is not stated anywhere, but the spectres get HP Icon.png temporary hit points equal to half the summoners level and deal bonus damage equal to the summoner's Charisma modifier.
  • This feature cannot be used on summoned creatures, either allied or enemy.
  • It also cannot be used on any creature with an effect like Death Ward Death Ward that revives the creature after dropping to 0 hit points. This is true even after the condition is expended.
  • Accursed Spectres are not traditional summons. They cannot be directly controlled by the player and they are immobile. However, they can teleport to creatures hit by the warlock's Hexed Weapon Hexed Weapon and take an immediately attack through their Right Behind You Right Behind You reaction. This allows for a degree of indirect control over the spectre.
  • Multiple spectres can be summoned simultaneously. Unlike most other summoning abilities, conjuring a new spectre does not unsummon the existing one.
  • Spectres are immune to the Madness Madness effect from the Abyss Beckoners gloves.

Bugs

  • The description does not state it, but this cannot be used on undead.
  • Creatures killed by Cull the Weak Cull the Weak will not trigger this reaction.
  • The CharacterStats for this summoned creature does not correctly have the proper DifficultyStatuses set, and as a result the creature gains the difficulty modifier bonus as if it were a hostile NPC.
