Encounter details[edit section | visual editor]

Aylin cannot die in combat; if her HP reaches 0, she becomes DownedDowned for one turn and attempts to regain 1 HP on the following turn. This healing can be prevented by certain effects, such as Bone ChilledBone Chilled, but she continues attempts to heal on subsequent turns until she finally stands up.

Ramazith's Tower[edit section | visual editor]

During Act Three, the party can discover that the wizard LorroakanLorroakan is the one responsible for offering a reward for the Nightsong's capture. If Aylin is informed of his search, she flies to Sorcerous Sundries to face him, convinced that he will not stop searching for her.

Siding with Dame Aylin[edit section | visual editor]

If the party decides to side with Dame Aylin, she joins the party as an ally against Lorroakan.

Siding with Lorroakan[edit section | visual editor]

If the party decides to side with Lorroakan instead, a furious Dame Aylin declares the current party member a traitor and kneels in prayer, summoning Selûne who in turn blesses Aylin with a condition called Moonmother's EmbraceMoonmother's Embrace and sends three powerful Moonlight SliversMoonlight Slivers.

Moonmother's Embrace grants her an extra 100 temporary hit points 100 temporary hit points, +4 to Strength and Charisma ability scores, and resistance to ColdCold, LightningLightning, and FireFire damage. In addition, she will also focus her attacks on player characters.

Her Child of the MoonmaidenChild of the Moonmaiden passive is removed regardless of who the party sides with. This is presumably just so that the fight can end if Aylin falls unconscious (and the party escapes if they sided with Aylin). In other words, it is presumably just for technical gameplay purposes, and not meant to indicate a broken oath nor Aylin losing her mother's favor.

Each of the Moonlight Slivers has a condition called Lunar LegionaryLunar Legionary, which grants Brand of the SilverlightBrand of the Silverlight to all of their allies (including Aylin) and Lunar RadianceLunar Radiance to all of their enemies within 18 m (60 ft). This means Aylin is likely to have an extra 5d8RadiantRadiant damage on each of her weapon attacks per round making her exceptionally deadly.
