Circle of the Spores is one of the Subclasses of Druid. These druids use fungal growth and decay to inflict Necrotic damage through spells, as well as to raise corpses through fungal infestation to fight at their side.
Subclass features[edit | edit source]
This subclass obtains all the features from its base class, Druid, in addition to its unique features outlined below.
Level 2
- Gain an additional Cantrip.
- Unleash a cloud of necrotic spores upon a target that deal 1d4Necrotic damage.
- This uses your Reaction, so other reactions won't trigger this turn.
- Gain 4 temporary hit points per Druid level, and your weapon and unarmed attacks deal an additional 1d6Necrotic damage while you have them.
- Casting deals double the damage.
- Ends when you lose the temporary hit points.
Level 3
- 2nd Level Circle of the Spores Spells
- Gain access to the following Spells. These Spells are always prepared and do not count against the number of Spells you can prepare.
Level 5
- 3rd Level Circle of the Spores Spells
- Gain access to the following Spells. These Spells are always prepared and do not count against the number of Spells you can prepare.
Level 6
- Target a Beast or Humanoid corpse and raise a Zombie until next Long Rest. Counts as a Reaction.
- Fungal Infestation Charges: 4
- The number of times you can use Fungal Infestation. Replenished by Long Rest.
Level 7
- 4th Level Circle of the Spores Spells
- Gain access to the following Spells. These Spells are always prepared and do not count against the number of Spells you can prepare.
Level 9
- 5th Level Circle of the Spores Spells
- Gain access to the following Spells. These Spells are always prepared and do not count against the number of Spells you can prepare.
Level 10
- Requires to be active. Create a cloud within 9 m / 30 ft that deals 2d8Necrotic damage per turn to all enemies in the cloud. Lasts 10 turns or until Symbiotic Entity deactivates (from losing the temporary HP).
