  • The effect lasts only 10 turns when applied this way.

Notes

• The earliest vendors to stock  Cloud Giant Fingers are  Blurg and  Derryth Bonecloak at the Myconid Colony in the Underdark, starting at level 6. Thus it is possible to craft this elixir while still in Act One.
• As the 27 Strength provided by this elixir lasts until long rest, it is arguably the most useful in the game for Strength-based party members. If the party have sufficient quantities of this elixir once it becomes available, characters can be respecced with 8 Strength and have ability score points and feats which would have been used to increase Strength allocated elsewhere. For example:
  • Stat points may be reallocated to Dexterity to increase AC and initiative or Constitution to increase HP.
  • An Ability Improvement feat used on Strength may instead be used on  Tavern Brawler, which massively benefits high-Strength characters that primarily use  Throw attacks or  Unarmed Strikes. Otherwise, characters might take broadly useful feats like  Alert or  Lucky.
