Grukkoh is a bugbear in Act One. He can be found in the Forest, north of the Blighted Village with his companion  Buthir.

Involvement

Act One

Grukkoh is in a barn next to the Blighted Village, where he and Buthir enjoy a private moment. Should the party interrupt, a cut scene triggers, where Grukkoh angrily demands to know what they are doing:

  Ngh. W-what the hells are you doin'?

  • Apologies. I didn't mean to interrupt.
  • You were making a lot of noise - I wanted to join the fun.
  • Back away slowly.
  • [BARBARIAN] [INTIMIDATION] I'M LAUGHING AT YOUR PUNY RUTTING. (DC 15)
  • [BARD] [PERSUASION] Do carry on. There's bookshops in Baldur's Gate that'd pay well for this kind of smut. (DC 15)
  • Attack the couple.

All options start combat unless the party passes an Intimidation check as a Barbarian or a Persuasion check as a Bard.

Companion approval

• The player character opens the door after a party member warns them not to.  +1  -1  -1  -1
• The player character fulfills  Astarion's request to open the door instead.  +5  -1  -1

Throw a character or item from the world or your inventory.

Your Strength affects how much weight you can throw. Heavier items deal more damage.

The damage of weapons with the thrown property is the same as the weapon's melee damage.

 Range: 18 m / 60 ft

Notes

• Prior to Hotfix #16 it was possible to trade with Grukkoh, mid-copulation, while talking through the shabby wooden doors.
