The higher a creature's Wisdom Score, the more likely they will succeed on Insight Checks to detect lies and read people's body language.

Characters who are proficient in Insight can add their Proficiency Bonus when making  Ability checks.

The following backgrounds grant proficiency in Insight:

•  Acolyte
•  Guild Artisan

The following classes can choose to select Insight as a proficient skill at Level 1:

•  Druid
•  Fighter
•  Monk
•  Paladin
•  Ranger
•  Rogue

•  Wizard

Uses

• Used in dialogue, predominantly as passive checks.
