Chamberlain Dufay can be found deceased in the chamberlain suite of the Szarr Palace. According to his diary, he was ordered to be a stand in for the missing Astarion for Cazador Szarr's ritual. Knowing the outcome of all who participate in the ritual, he decided to fake his death using a potion purchased from Bonecloak's Apothecary and an identical looking acid potion to explain his apparent death.
Unfortunately, it appears he drank the wrong potion as his body appears to be corroded with acid. His lover Lurianna Sauvage, upon finding his body, later chose to join him in death by drinking a similar acid potion.
