Petras

From bg3.wiki

Pale Petras is a Vampire Spawn enslaved to Cazador Cazador, and one of Astarion Astarion's siblings. He may appear at Fraygo's Flophouse or Cazador's Dungeon during Act Three.

Involvement[edit | edit source]

Petras can first be encountered on the first floor of Fraygo's Flophouse in Wyrm's Crossing, where he is hunting with Dalyria Dalyria.[1] If Astarion is present, the three have a confrontation about Cazador and his intentions for the ritual.

If Astarion is not present, the party can eavesdrop on their conversation:

  • [STEALTH] Listen in. (DC 15)
  • [ROGUE] [STEALTH] Listen in. (DC 15 Advantage Icon.png)

Whether or not the check succeeds or fails, the party can interject by stating they know Astarion or they're interested in the "party". The pair will invite the party and then leave.

He later can be met with the other spawns in Cazador's Dungeon, trapped and suspended while Cazador prepares for his ritual. Like the other spawns, Petras can be spared or killed after the ritual, or allowed to be consumed as one of its sacrifices.

Notes[edit | edit source]

  1. Pale Petras and Dalyria vanish if they are affected by Lathander's Light Lathander's Light due to their Sunlight Hypersensitivity. This happens even if the player character is currently using a ranged weapon as long as the The Blood of Lathander is equipped in their melee weapon slot.
