Victoria is a deceased human child found in the Szarr Palace guest room during Act Three. She has the rather unusual condition Sapping Curse Sapping Curse.

History[edit | edit source]

Victoria was the 'pureblooded' daughter of one of Cazador's Cazador's Vampire Spawns, Leon Onufrio Leon Onufrio, who brought Victoria to the palace on Cazador's insistence. By consistently staying his 'favoured spawns', Leon and Victoria were able to stay in the favoured spawn bedchambers together, where they were apart from the rest of the vampires. [1]

While at the palace, Leon became fearful for Victoria's life as other spawns showed interest in her. As a Sorcerer Sorcerer, he imbued her with a counter-curse in the event of an attack against her person, making her a "necrotic booby-trap".[2]

Leon was finalising a deal with someone identified as Figaro, most likely Figaro Pennygood Figaro Pennygood, to procure a disguise for Victoria's escape.[3] However, she was found by the spawn Dalyria Dalyria, who brought her back to the palace. Dalyria was searching for a cure to vampirism and thought that Victoria's young blood could help.[4] She bit into Victoria, killing her and triggering her necrotic curse.[5]

Involvement[edit | edit source]

Victoria can be found in the Szarr Palace guest room, which as Astarion explains is where 'guests' were kept until Cazador took them. He notes that there had been no prior deaths in the room, and that "something strange happened to that girl".

Her body and curse behave as an obstacle to obtaining the  Kozakuran Dictionary found in the guest room. The Sapping Curse can be removed with Remove Curse Remove Curse, or an  Elixir of Necrotic Resistance can be used to move past her. If neither are available, as Victoria is a child and weighs very little, she can be (somewhat morosely) tossed across the room, away from the rest of the objects within it.[6] If done in turn-based mode, this only incurs a single tick of damage.

The door to the guest room has the condition Sinister Seal Sinister Seal, which applies one round of sapping curse when opened normally. Opening the door with through Mage Hand Mage Hand avoids taking damage.

Speak with Dead[edit | edit source]

It was possible to use Speak with Dead on Victoria's corpse until Patch #5. Some of her then removed dialogue potentially contradicted in-game lore, such as saying she was an orphan brought to Cazador Cazador by Dalyria Dalyria.

  • Who are you?
    • Victoria
      Victoria... orphan...
  • How did you end up here?
    • Victoria
Lady promised me food... shelter... took me here...
  • Do you know anything about the dictionary I found?
    • Victoria
Lady who brought me here carried it... Hid it from monster...
      • What lady? Do you know her name?
        • Victoria
          Dalyria...
      • What did the monster look like?
        • Victoria
          Tall... long hair... terrible eyes...
      • What happened when you got here?
        • Victoria
She held me... bit me... blood everywhere...
          • Did the lady kill you?
            • Victoria
Tried but... couldn't drink... retching and gagging... then monster arrived...
              • Victoria
Furious... she tried to disobey... not drink thinking creatures... he dragged her away...

  6. Victoria's body can be picked up and used as an area of effect necrotic weapon. Like other corpses, Victoria can be sent to camp after placing her inside another container. However, while in the camp chest she continues to have her necrotic aura, and harms nearby characters, or kills Scratch if he walks nearby.
