The Altar to Shar is an environmental object in the Gauntlet of Shar that the party can attempt to pray to receive the Nightsinger's FavourNightsinger's Favour.

Involvement[edit section | visual editor]

If interacted with, each party member can attempt to pray at the altar by passing a Religion check. To receive the buff, the interacting party must attempt one of the options below:

  • [SHADOWHEART] Offer prayer and devotion to the Dark Lady.
    • [SHADOWHEART] [RELIGION] Silently swear your body and soul to Shar. Give yourself over entirely. (DC 14 Advantage Icon.png)
  • [EVIL CLERIC] Shar is not your mistress, but she is worthy of respect. Offer her a prayer.
  • [CLERIC OF SELÛNE] [PALADIN OF SELÛNE] Selûne's rival, but also her sister. Offer a prayer of reconciliation.
  • [RELIGION] Pray at the altar. (DC 14)
  • [WARLOCK] [DECEPTION] Feign a prayer while your patron thieves the altar's magic. (DC 14) (if not Shadowheart)

All other options, including being a ClericCleric or PaladinPaladin of Selûne, failing the ability check, or ShadowheartShadowheart having abandoned SharShar receive the Shar-StrickenShar-Stricken debuff instead. However, if they are DisguisedDisguised prior, characters who are Clerics of Paladins of Selûne can still safely pray at Shar's altar and obtain her blessing, rather than her curse.
