Houndmaster Pol is a ghost who may appear in the Durinbold Mausoleum in Baldur's Gate's Lower City.

In life, Pol was the houndmaster of the patriar Durinbold family, of fame.
He and his three ghostly dogs ( Gordis, Rocky, and Zina) attack the party if their sarcophagi are disturbed with a successful DC 15 Strength Check.[1]

Loose a bolt of necrotic energy. You can spend Predator Essence to empower the shot.
Each Predator Essence adds 4d10Necrotic and heals you for 4d10Hit Points.

Though nothing can be found in his ectoplasmic pile when defeated, his sarcophagus can be looted to find:
